Distracted driving is a major issue nowadays in teens and adults. Distracted driving can range from eating and drinking to texting and driving. Simply, it’s taking your mind off of driving to do something else. There are 2 broad categories that go into distracted driving: ones that happen inside the car and ones that happen outside the car. Distractions inside the car include: texting and driving, eating and drinking, listening to loud music, and having passengers with you. Texting and driving is a very dangerous distraction because in less than three seconds, you could be in an accident. This takes your eyes off the road to the phone, causing you to be distracted and maybe have an accident. Eating and drinking takes your hand/hands off the steering wheel to having a cup or food in your hand to eat. If you do that, then it can lead you to have an accident
