There are many reasons why people join the army. One of the most common reason is to get a civilian education. The army offers many educational opportunities such as occupational training courses, full college tuition paid in undergraduate and graduate programs. But it is easy said than done. Many veterans today, after years of service, end up getting out without any degree. Although, they got military educations, very few are transferable to the civilian life. Would it not be beneficial to all the services member to earn a degree while actively engage their military occupational specialty? Although civilian education is important, because of the challenges that come with been active duty, a lot of soldiers miss the opportunities offered to them for school. What are the difficulties that prevent soldiers from going to school and what are some ways and ideas soldiers can earn a degree while actively engage in their military occupations?

It is the truth that the army has a lot of opportunities to offer when it can to education. Programs like tuition assistance that pays up to 100 percent of tuition expenses for semester hours costing $250 or less. The Post 9/11 GI Bill is available to military service members who served at least 90 days of active duty since September 11, 2001. It is not because services members are not aware of that but, as an active duty soldier, the mission always comes first. school is not a priority for the majority. They know the importance of education.
