Barry Commoner

Barry Commoner, the author highlights his concerns about the loss of balance between nature, man and technology and how the ecosystem is moving towards the beginning of an end, the zero point and more correctly called the closing circle. In the image itself, the fading and interconnecting circles state that everything is connected to everything else. The bright, colorful rings, the global ecosphere in this context progresses towards the pallid circles in the end, with the advent of technology by man. Man is the connecting link between environment and technology. The man must decide how to use the tool called technology, i.e., for “the closing circle” or towards “closing the circle.” (Commoner, 1972)
